I have developed an introductory core lesson structure that introduces the building blocks of blues guitar for beginners. Each blues guitar lesson contributes to your repertoire will advance your playing of rhythm and lead techniques, and can be used when playing alone and with other musicians.
As a long time successful performer I know what works in playing the blues and as a teacher of twenty years experience I know how to teach it to you.
I can teach you the classic styles of early blues including Robert Johnson, Lightning Hopkins Muddy Waters and other greats. This includes their finger picking styles, alternate tunings and slide techniques.
You can learn lead guitar styles of the greats like like the “Kings of the Blues” (BB, Albert and Freddy), Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Vaughn, Buddy Guy, Magic Sam, Otis Rush, Duane Allman and more.
I teach from original recordings and transcriptions. As part of my teaching method, we will record portions of your lessons and I’ll provide you with the recordings to practice with.
