More Guitar Instruction Videos Comming!

  1. I will be publishing  professional quality instructional guitar videos on this website.   In the meantime I have added a couple of short videos (not professional) taken during private lessons with my students.
  2. Often, it’s hard to remember and re-create at home what you learned in your lesson, even with the help of charts/tabs. I offer, at no extra charge, the service of providing students with these videos. Being able to see and hear how a piece sounds when learning is invaluable.
  3. In the first one, I demonstrate how to play the intro to the classic Bright Lights Big City by Jimmy Reed. It’s a creative take on the turnaround used in this song, which is quite common.
  4. In the second video, I play the opening instrumental chorus of Robert Johnson’s Delta Blues piece Kindhearted Woman, done finger style.
  5. Stay tuned for upcoming instructional videos. They will include country acoustic blues  techniques and songs by Robert Johnson, early Muddy Waters, Charley Patton, Son House, Skip James, Barbeque Bob, Mississippi Fred McDowall, Blind Boy Fuller ….
  6. In addition to country acoustic blues, there will be electric blues techniques and songs by Freddy King, Magic Sam, Earl Hooker, Otis Rush, Elmore James, Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester, Fabulous T-Birds, Jimmie Vaughn, Anson Funderburg, Jimmy Mckracklin, and more
  7. I’ll even throw in some Rockabilly by Carl Perkins, Elvis, Junior Parker, and more
